He was predeceased by: his parents, Frieda Thompson (Zeisberger) and Edward Thompson; his sister Barbara; his brother-in-law Al Dupuis; and his niece Becky Dupuis.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen D. "Katie" Lacke; his children, Kristen Wells (Pat), Kari Young (Andrew), Tracy Kimbo (Jimmy) and Mike Thompson (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Mason, Sam, Eleri Wells, Cooper, Addison Young, Mckenna, Grayson Kimbo, Katelin, Finley, Quinn and Jack Thompson; his nephew Scott Dacey (Jennifer); his great-nephews, Drew and Jack; and his nephew Ross Dupuis.
