“Josette and I were schoolmates at St. Patrick’s Academy in Des Plaines, Illinois. I met her when we were both 14 years old, and we remained good friends all of the years since. I was lucky enough to have spent many happy times with her, traveling with our close group of high school friends. Although her adult life was complicated by illness, Josette was a funny, warm, loving person, and I will miss her. Life just seems a little sadder without her. Theresa Parker”
