He was predeceased by: his parents, Melva Butteris (Tremelling) and Stansmore Butteris; his stepfather Will Schill; his sisters, Judie Schill Weier and Shirley Butteris Ziebarth; and his brothers-in-law, LeRoy Ziebarth and Milferd Ziebarth.
He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Kite; his children, William Butteris, EuGene Butteris, Jamey Butteris (Jenny), Robin Welch (Alan) and Cindy Reichert (Brian); his sisters, Eileen Ziebarth and Gloria Marie; his close friend Carolyn Kite; and his pet Bailey. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
