He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Breitung and Ethel Breitung (Wohlferd); and his siblings, Betty Snyder, Cameron, Donald, Neil and Daniel.

He is survived by: his children, Stacie Breitung (Steve Bodart) and Jason Breitung (Sherry); his grandchildren, Cory Heitman, Nichole Peterson (Ben), McKenzie Doelle Breitung and McKenna Meincke; and his friend Claire Rasmussen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
