He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard White and Maxine White (Bradley). He is survived by: his wife Joan (Sess); his stepchildren, Steven McKee (Kelli), Monte McKee and Robin Adam (Reggie); his children, Charles (Debbie), Kim and Karie; and his brother-in-law Jim Sess (Melissa). He is also survived by several step-grandchildren; two grandchildren.
His favorite charity was the Wounded Warrior Project, which he faithfully donated monthly.
