He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Shaw and Myrtle Shaw (Plumer); his son James Shaw; his grandson Clinton Barnes-Shaw; his siblings, Clarence Shaw and Alice Tiedke; and his brothers-in-law, Clarence "Spike" Bauer, Sylvan Bauer, Herbert Metcalf and Arnie Tiedke.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Shaw of Rochester, MN; his children, Jack Shaw of Rochester, MN, Jeff Shaw (Kendra) of Diamond Bluff, WI, David Shaw (Rita) of Stockholm, WI, Paul Shaw (Lara) of North Ridgeville, OH and Tammy Bradshaw (Guy) of Nelson, WI; and his siblings, Clara Bauer, Fred Shaw (Bonnie), Doris Bauer, Ruth Krawleski (LeRoy), Mary Heath (Russell) and Dorothy Metcalf. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
