He was predeceased by : his parents, Hiram Stevens and Margaret Stevens (Willis); his former life partners, Doris and Audrey; his sisters, Clara "Joyce" Paske and Rosemary Stevens; and his brothers-in-law, Phillip Paske and Donald Emery.

He is survived by : his sister Sharon; his niece Julie Collins (Edward); his nephews, Jeff Emery (Debra Melvin) and Joel Emery (Beth Siebers); his great-niece Layne Locke (James); and his stepchildren, Sondra, Robert and Patty.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pembine American Legion or Grace Lutheran Church.
