He was predeceased by: his father Leo Diny; his wife Gwen; and his parents-in-law, Roy and Esther Cropsey. He is survived by: his mother Germaine Diny (Cornelissen); his children, Adam (Colleen) and Deanna; his siblings, James Diny, Marlene Leick (Gary), Nancy Diny, Patty Davis (Bob), Lani Biese (Roy), Gale Harteau (Rob) and Jodie Renon (Dan); and his pet Maggie. He is also survived by several friends and relatives.
