It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aloys Mathu of Pembine, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 28, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Aloys Mathu to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Mathu and Evelyn Mathu (Tasquin); his stepmother Josephine Mathu; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Anna Benz; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Jossart, Audrey Benz, Ronald Benz and Jake Halada.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Benz; his sister Karen; his children, Colette Christoph (Mike), Paul Mathu (Pam), Karen Crass (Dave) and Kathy Heinz (Dan); his grandchildren, Bruce Christoph (Heather), Kim Christoph (Scott), Ryan Christoph, Kristie Romanowski (Jackson), Rachel Mathu, Joe Mathu (Lizzy), Mitchell Crass (Melissa), Savanna Crass (Vinnie), Jeff Heinz (Torie) and Elizabeth Heinz; his great grandchildren, Devyn, Kailee, Jeremy, Jacob, Addison, Joe, Alivia, Elliana and Jameson; his siblings, Henrietta Halada, Peter Mathu (Pat), Joanne Zellner (Dell), Colette Seidl (Jerry), Sharon Du Jardin (Neil), Jim Mathu (Mary), Jean Mathu (Michelle), Mary Ann Leroy (John), Pat Pigeon (Bernard) and Donna Paque (Francis); and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Benz and Bernie Jossart.
In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a Memorial Fund has been established in Al's name to contribute to the Denmark Fire Department where he once served as a volunteer fireman, the Pembine/Dunbar/Beecher Rescue Squad and the Ronald McDonald House.
