He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard M. Stein and Karen Stein (Knutson); his wife Jeannette; his former wife Roz; his daughter Kelly; his siblings, Dorothy Peters, Betty Murnik, Mary "Noonie" Szymik, Arlene Hawley, Laura "Tudi" Gunderson, Corinne "Mickey" Hoppe and Bobby Stein; and his stepdaughter Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Stein (Debbie), Wendy Stein (Phil Freeman), Jeff Stein (Brenda), Tracey Carden (Dennis) and Randy Stein (Angie Johnson); his stepchildren, Larry Scowra (Asta) and Denice Vrana (Tad); and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Zach, Travis, Tyler, Troy, Kendall, Cody and Joshua (Pauline Fenzl). He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
