She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Woodie and Mary Woodie; her husbands, Arno Rickert and Gerald Spoerl; her close friend Merlin Boettcher; her siblings, Dick, Clarence, Clifford, Jerome, Raymond Woodie and Marion Zoesch; and her daughter-in-law Ruth Spoerl.

She is survived by: her sons, Joseph "Buck" Rickert (Joan), Stan Rickert (Robyn), Scott Rickert (Gladys) and Robert Spoerl. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Park Falls Public Library.
