Gloria Jean Herbst Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 6, 2024, at the age of 89, Gloria Jean Herbst of Park Falls, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Gloria Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gloria Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Ferkovich and Laura Ferkovich (Zablotski); and her husband Richard Herbst. She is survived by: her children, Steven Herbst (Carol) of Arden Hills, MN, Richard J. Herbst of Park Falls, Leslie Haney (Terry) of Butternut, Amy Shattuck (Curtiss) of Scandia, MN and Michele Wallerstein (Phillip Davis) of Duluth, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren, (2) great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (276 S 5th Ave, Park Falls, WI 54552). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
