He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Leitl and Louise Leitl (Herbst); his children, Ann Oikari Park Falls, Michelle Elliott, Daniel Leitl (Kate) and David (Kim); his grandchildren, Heather Dahlgren (Dion), Elizabeth Bejcek, William Bejcek, Jesse Bejcek, Douglas Leitl (Missi), Kaitlyn Leitl, Maxwell Elliott and Andrea Elliott; his great grandchildren, Isabel Debauche, Madison Johnson, Abigail Dahlgren and Dylan Dahlgren; his sister Gerry Bolz; his nieces, Brenda Schwartz (Bernie), Sandy Koski (Scott) and Linda Bolz-Blume; and his wife Margaret Hoefferle.
He received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his instrumental contributions to the following events; Tootsie Roll Drive, Park Manor Color Rama Tour, Christmas fruit baskets for widows, 4th of July Celebration, including the world's smallest bar.
