He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Swanson and Arlene Swanson (Rodrain); his brothers, Terry and Lee; and his father-in-law Paul Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Debbie Bruhnke (Paul), Sherri Houk (Dan) and Steven Swanson (Lori); and his mother-in-law Bernice Kirk. He is also survived by five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be used for a charity in Ronnie's memory.
