He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Grueneberg; his siblings, LaVern "Ernie" Grueneberg, Doris Sarbacker and Darlene; his siblings-in-law, Harry, Carol "Tot" Lueptow, Dick, Sue Lueptow, Steve Lueptow, Lois Grueneberg and Tom Sarbacker; and his pet Babe.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Lueptow; his granddaughters, Heather Miller (Matt Weatherwax), Emily Babcock (Chris Woelfel), Kimberly Hoel (Tom Kehoe) and Sarah Babcock; his great grandchildren, Makensey, Kayden, Addison, Vada and Hunter; his pet Millie; his siblings, Harold Grueneberg (Sharon) and Jan Grueneberg; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Nichols, Robert Lueptow, Sally Lueptow, Bud and Kathy Lawrence. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and countless lifetime friends.
