He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd and Roberta; his daughter Katie Rinde; his wife Sharon Knutson-Rinde; his sister-in-law Joyce Knutson; and also, Molly and Shadow.

He is survived by: his children, Jenny Phillips, Krista Rinde, Jared Rinde, Zak Rinde and Kristopher Rinde; his stepson Brandon Meckler; his former wife Sheila Rinde; his brother Clint Rinde; and his brother-in-law Ron Knutson.
