He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kiefer and Edna Kiefer; his stepmother Mary Kiefer; his brothers, Ardell and Rich Kiefer; and his nephew Gary Kiefer.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Rose Stransky; his daughters, Nancy Porter (Dean) of Branson, MO and Kathi Miller (Max) of Naperville, IL; his grandsons, Dan, Jeff (Jenna Porter), Chad Kiefer (Max) and Ian (Jake Miller); and his siblings, Jane Davis, Maxine Schlapkohl and Paul Kiefer (Sally). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
