He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hoeppner and Anna Hoeppner (Cook); his son-in-law Scott McConochie; and his siblings, Arthur "Fritz" Hoeppner, Darlene Vick and Mary Lou Borde (Mertz).

He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Brendalee McConochie (Bill Baker), Donald Hoeppner (Michelle), Troy Hoeppner (Kim), Kevin McMahon and Carl McMahon; his grandchildren, Brittany Walker (Bud), Casey McConochie (Cameron), Nathan Hoeppner and Matthew Steege; and his siblings, Roger Hoeppner (Sharon), Gary Hoeppner (Gloria), Carol Heeres and Sandra Hoeppner. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
