He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Johnson and Elsie Johnson (Renstrom); his daughter Jean; his brother Elmer; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Jodie Kujawa (Tim) of Eagle, WI and Adam Johnson (Rachel) of Monument, CO; his grandchildren, Jaden Kujawa and Molly Kujawa; his siblings, Arnold Johnson (Jan), Harold Johnson, Elvin Johnson (Marge), Elaine Asmus (Richard), Victor Johnson (Judi), Linda Johnson (Gary) and Sally Treichler (Fred); and his sister-in-law Shirley Kuschel. He is also survived by husband, father and grandfather.
