Lucien DeKind Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2025, at the age of 90, Lucien DeKind of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Germaine DeKind; his wife Grace Vandenbogaerde; and his siblings, Marcel, Julie, Roger and Lillian.
He is survived by: his son Jim DeKind (Marleen) of Paddock Lake, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch (1055 Main St, Antioch, IL 60002). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Peter Church (557 Lake St, Antioch, IL 60002). A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Salem Mound Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lymphoma Research Foundation Wall Street Plaza - 88 Pine Street Suite 2400 New York, NY 10005-1801, are appreciated in Lucien's memory.
