He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Walters and Florence Walters (Yaach); his siblings, Wayne, Jerome "Joe", Dennis (Rhoda) and Joy Ann Coon (Edward); his siblings-in-law, Judy Walters and Virgil Huber; his niece Debra Walters; his nephew Bruce Coon; and his in-laws, Ronald and Erma Huber.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Jeff (Janice) of Oxford, Doug (Peggy O'Neil) of Sussex and Dina Schwalbach of Milwaukee; his brother Edmund; and his sister-in-law Jackie Walters of Oxford. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren.
