He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Benzschawel and Margaret Benzschawel (Gengler); and his siblings, Claude, Eugene, Diane and Dennis.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Bolf; his children, Pauline Spiegel (John) of Jim Falls, Pamela Emerson (Ben) of Appleton, Marcia Resch of Green Bay, Stephen Benzschawel (Tonia) of Eau Claire and Tina Theisen (Jeff) of Eau Claire; his siblings, Joan Clarke (Seamus), Frank Benzschawel (Nell) and Allen Benzschawel (Sam); his siblings-in-law, Vern York, Bev and Alice Benzschawel of Thorp; his close friends, Eugene and Lois Nolt; and his friends, Brian Bredlau and Dan Tolzman. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to Holy Rosary Church.
