He is survived by: his pet Princess; and his siblings, Becky Noble of Neenah, Doug Mertens of Wisconsin, Joe Mertens (Joann) of Stetsonville and Todd Mertens of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
