He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Nelson and Adrienne Nelson; his sister Helen Thompson; and his brothers-in-law, Daniel Paulson and Marvin Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Peterson; his daughters, Jana Nelson (Dennis) and Sara Gurganus (Ed); his granddaughters, Rachel and Veronica Nelson; and his sister Rosie Paulson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
With concern for public health and safety due to COVID-19, a public celebration of life will take place at a later date.
