As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Velma may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Colman and Maude Colman (Lucas); her husband Lloyd K. Sowers; and her sons, Jerry K. Sowers and William L Sowers.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce O'Connell (David) of Ripon, WI, Charles Sowers of Oshkosh, WI, Rhonda Schoenick (Dale) of Hilbert, WI and Amy Karkula (Todd) of Oshkosh, WI. She is also survived by her sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Seefeld Funeral Home (1025 Oregon St, Oshkosh, WI 54902). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
