He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hermes and Sandra Hermes. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Hermes; his son Cory Hermes; his niece Arianna Flock; his brother David Hermes (Terri); his nieces, Gabriella Van Theil (Ethan) and Madelyn Hermes; his aunt Ginger Baer (Jerome); and his cousin Brian Hoelzel (Linda). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
