James William Schoonover Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2025, at the age of 80, James William Schoonover in Oshkosh, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Schoonover (Flanagan) and William Schoonover; and his wife Betty Ann Boening. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Rausch (Peter) and Jeffrey Schoonover (Jill); his grandsons, Nathan Rausch (Reghan Berg) and Matthew Rausch; his siblings, Susan Kratz (Philip), Vicki Behm, Michael Schoonover, Patrick Schoonover (Connie), Gerald Schoonover and John Schoonover (Debora); his sisters-in-law, Jeanette Boening, Connie Boening and Jean Ann Boening; his parents-in-law, Edward and Margaret Boening; and his siblings-in-law, Jodie Schoonover, Catherine Hopperdietzel, Carl Boening, Richard Boening, David Boening and James. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (730 Madison Ave, Omro, WI 54963). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Omro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's honor to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society or Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association.
