He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Frank and Edna Frank (Kloetzke); his wife Violet Holm; his son Eric Elmer; his brothers, Richard Frank, Donald Melhorn, Daniel Melhorn and William Schultz; and his close friend Theda Hazen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy LaPointe (Keith), Nancy Guldan (Mike Lechleiter) and Julie Semenas (Craig); his grandchildren, Jennifer Schaub (Nathan), Brian LaPointe, Jaime Semenas (Travis Cousert) and Camryn Semenas; and his great grandchild Jacob Berger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
