He was predeceased by: his parents, Elden Skifstad and Ella Skifstad Sr. (Pruno); his wife Sandra Skifstad; his daughter Julie Skifstad-Dodd; his brothers, Willard Skifstad and LaVerne Skifstad; his niece Robin Parker; his brother-in-law Ronnie Klapper; and his in-laws, Austin and Elma Hasse.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Weiss (Jon), Brenda Schaffer (David), Elden Skifstad III, Rex Skifstad (Kalie), Diana Boehning, Gwen Beyers and Tammy Flowers (Marvin); his grandchildren, Lisa Hawkins (Rich), John Galston Jr., Katie Harris (Steven), Brian Galston, Richard Buhrow Jr., Crystal Skifstad-Schaffer, Cassie Broege, Chad Broege, Patrick Skifstad (Montana), Brett Boehning, Ashley Boehning, Austin Byers, Brandon Hart, Nicholas Hart, Steven Hart (Crystal Vergin) and Malachi Flowers; and his sisters, Vida Voissem (Tom) and Marlene Klapper. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandsons.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (808 N Main St, Oshkosh, WI 54901). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 4:45 PM at the same location.
