Corey R. Wiencek Obituary

Corey Robert Wiencek passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2024, in Oshkosh Wisconsin at the age of 27. Cory was born on March 5, 1997, in Milwaukee WI, cherished son of Laura Fitch (Anschutz) and the late James Wiencek, and loving brother of Kyle Wiencek.

Corey graduated from Elkhorn High School in Wisconsin in 2015. Since that time, he attended college and worked multiple jobs. An admirable hard work ethic and perseverance helped him as he navigated his way through life.

Family and friends whom he so greatly loved, would describe Corey as an extremely kindhearted, caring, and gentle person…his cats would agree! Corey also loved sports, especially hockey, and was an avid fan of both the Milwaukee Admirals and Nashville Predators. Coming in a close second would be professional wrestling. His passion for sports was shared with both his dad and dear brother Kyle. Though many have had their own unique relationship with Corey, the special bond he shared with his mother lives on forever, surely transcending beyond the limits of earthly life.

Corey leaves behind an extremely close knit and loving family; his mother Laura, brother Kyle, stepfather Shannon, grandparents Robert and Barbara Anschutz, and Joseph and Mary Wiencek. Also left to cherish his memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Corey was predeceased by his father, James Wiencek.

A celebration of Corey's life will be held on June 28, 2024, with a visitation from 4-7PM followed by a short service at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago WI (930 Main St.).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Corey be made to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) https://namisoutheastwi.org or The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention https://afsp.org. Corey's legacy of kindness and love for all will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
