With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rita A. Schmidt of Osceola, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Harold John; her parents, Alphonse Meister (Al) and Ida Meister; and her son Brian. She is survived by: her children, Connie Wood (Mike) of Marco Island, FL, Tom Schmidt of Taylor's Falls, MN and Joan Stelter (Tim) of Osceola, WI; her grandchildren, Jon Wood (Julie), Kate Wynn (Kelly), Adam Droher (Nicole), Matthew Droher (Tonya), Sarah Borrell (Kyle), Anthony Schmidt (Titi) and Daniel Schmidt (Sami); her great grandchildren, Sienna, Sawyer, Sasha, Savannah, Asher, Everett, Ida, Arlo, Alexa, Lyla, Croix, Ryleigh, Tate, Camila, Eliana, Finley and Zoey; her siblings, Rose Ulrich and Alvin Meister (Al); and also Peggy Schmidt Provenzano (Mike) of Shoreview, MN.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (490 Bench St, Taylors Falls, MN 55084).
