He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena C. Nelson (Olson) and Nels I. Nelson; his siblings, Jack Nelson (Dona), Bernice James (Bill), June Saari (Elmer) and Irene James (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Suzanne Coron (Paul), Janice Wick (Sam) and Paul Pietro (Jeanette).
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Zoe Nelson (Pietro); his children, Pamela Zoe Anderson (Dave) of Lindstrom, MN and Kevin E. Nelson (Nicole) of Osceola, WI; his grandchildren, Derek Fox, Haley Zoe Fox, Teagan Nelson and Noah Ross Nelson; and his siblings, Barbara Behm (Don) of Appleton, WI, Virginia Shepard (Willard) of Neenah, WI and Bruce Nelson (Joan) of Negaunee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
