He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carlson and Clara Carlson; his foster parents, Martin and Amanda; and his foster siblings, Sam Johnson (Anna), Clarence Johnson (Audrey), George Johnson (Ida Dell), Agnes Mork (Charles), Mayme Pettis (Lute) and Florence Christensen (Sheldon).
He is survived by: his children, John, Dale and Jim; and his siblings, Jenny and Gordon Carlson (Sue) of Grand Rapids, Michigan..
A memorial service will be held at a later date after Covid-19 restrictions have lifted.
