He is survived by: his wife Laurie Scharfenberg; his daughters, Amy LaPlante (Travis) and Elizabeth "Liz" Olson (Jim); his grandchildren, Emily, Parker and Kate Olson; and his sisters, Yvonne Miller (Gary) and Renee Cain (Hugh). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews; and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pierre's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Blanchardville Pool (Friends of McKellor Park, Inc., PO Box 277, Blanchardville, WI 53516).
