With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John David Schmelzer of Oregon, Wisconsin, born in Madison, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Schmelzer and Mary Schmelzer (Dederich); and his sister Anna Schmelzer Fontana. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his daughters, Jennifer, Ashley Schmelzer, Karin Keller and Tina Raspe; and his brothers, Michael Schmelzer (Deb) and Gary Schmelzer (Connie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
