He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Rice and Lucile B. Rice (Brust); and his great grandchild Fiona Rice. He is survived by: his wife Sue Rice of Oostburg; his children, Kevin (Lynda) of Knoxville, IA, Doug Rice (Kristen) of Oostburg, Jeff Rice (Leigh Ann) of Fort Smith, AR and Sarah Spaker (Billy) of Zebulon, NC; his grandchildren, Seth (Grace), Caleb (Mariah), Rachel Adolph (Nathanael), Micah (Grace), Rebekah Weadick (Benjamin), Hannah Fears (Andrew), Esther, Jacob, Joseph, Ellie, Karma Spaker, Azalea Spaker, Grace McGinnis (Caleb), Ben, Elijah, Ruth, Thad, Naomi, Anna and Eden; and his brother Gerald Rice (Marge). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
