She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smies and Josephine Smies; and her brother Ronald Smies. She is survived by: her son William Terrill Schultz of Berlin Germany; her siblings, Dave Smies (Deb) of Michigan, Dick Smies (Mary) of Michigan and Sharon Lantinga (Herb) of Michigan; and her sister-in-law Joyce Smies of Oostburg.
