He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nyhuis and Rose Nyhuis (Bloemers); his former wife Gloria Brethouwer; his siblings, Alicia Meyer (Robert), Kenneth, William (Judith) and James Nyhuis (Juleann); and his brother-in-law Bruce Goetz.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Vander Waal; his daughters, Robin Bruggink (Brian) of Oostburg and Pamela Acker (Timothy) of Cross Plains; his grandchildren, Nicholas Bruggink (Sarah), Megan Thomas (Matthew), Lauren Bruggink, Alyssa and Tyler Acker; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Nyhuis of Oostburg, Linda Haen (David) of Appleton, Beth Ann Goetz (Keith) of Cleveland and Richard Brethouwer (Marilyn). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Gathering Place and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
