He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wallace and Elizabeth Crist; his brother Frank Crist; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Watson, Raymond Butler and Gene Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn VanSluys; his sons, James W. (April) of Cedar Grove, Michael of Cedar Grove and Andrew of Cedar Grove; his grandchildren, James W. Crist (Renee) of Cedar Grove and Jessica Crist of DePere; his great grandchildren, Payge and James W.; his sisters, Betty Watson and Joleen Sullivan; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Crist, Shirley Butler of Gotham, WI and Dennis VanSluys of Sheboygan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund, Camo Quilt Project or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
