He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Gruett and Edna Gruett (Justmann); his parents-in-law, Edwin and Esther Laatsch; his brother Wayne Gruett; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Pingel and Nancy Kriesel.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Gruett (Laatsch); his son Matthew Gruett (Ingrid) of Middleton; and his grandchildren, Henrik and Anna Gruett. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
