He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard DuMez and Beatrice DuMez (Dirkse); and his siblings, Marilyn Brill (Keith), Duane and Michael DuMez.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Julie Meyer (Phil), Debra DuMez (Douglas Schaefer), John DuMez (Julie) and Jeff DuMez (Jen); his grandchildren, Cassondra Pratt (Robbie), Joe Meyer (Lauren Giese), Leah (Devin Bayer), Lucas, Jonathan Bischoff, Aaron (Katie), Kayla, Levi (Ashlyn Kolste), Lauren, Ben and Evelyn DuMez; his great grandchild Joanna DuMez; his son-in-law Christopher Bischoff; his sisters, Jane LeBreck (Duane) and Sue Dulmes (Art); and his siblings-in-law, Vonnie DuMez, Jean DuMez, Darlene Navis (Ron), Bonnie Ramaker (Stan) and Glenn Harmelink (Luann). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or Oostburg Christian School.
