He is survived by: his close friend Fran Weaver; his children, Shawn Dessart (Summer), Kody Smith, Kendra Mahan (David) and Matiius "Moontiius" Benton; his grandchildren, Lotatenikuhlak and Yahonahaliyo; and his siblings, George Powless (Heather) and Kim. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
