He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Reed Sr. and Rachael Reed; and his brother Al Reed. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Reed, Jr., Jody Reed, Merissa Reed and Isaac Reed; his grandchildren, Malikai Thompson, Jonathan Reed, Domanic Reed, Serenity Reddog, Emerson Reddog, Cassius Wisneski, SyVarah John and Kilynn Reddog; and his siblings, Elaine Doxtator, Wanda Reed (Raymond), Barbara Summers (Dan), Victoria Reed (David), Emerson Reed Jr., Peter Reed and Billy Reed (Michelle).
