He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Gonnering and Alice Gonnering (Van Thiel); his parents-in-law, Orin Sr. and Johanna Peterson (Van Kauwenberg); his brothers, Joe Gonnering, Sylvester Gonnering and Larry Gonnering; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Peterson (Mabel), Jack Van Gheem, Jim Jansen and Mary Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Gonnering; his children, Dave Gonnering, Jim Gonnering (Mindi), Sherry Strzelecki (Glenn), Joseph Gonnering (Stacy) and Ed "Eddie" Gonnering (Angie); his grandchildren, Joey, Will, Katie Sue Gonnering, Ben, Emily and Alyssa Gonnering; his children, Sam, Dan Strzelecki, Jacob, Tom Gonnering and Kenzie Gonnering; his siblings, Mary Nel Hermes (Roland), Judy Marchant Gonnering, Jerome "Jerry" Gonnering (Jan), Frank Gonnering (Betty) and Betty Ann Pengelly (Jon); and his siblings-in-law, Louis Peterson (Ann), Mary Ann Van Gheem, Gordon Peterson, Orin Peterson (Jeanne), Nancy Jansen, Betty Gonnering (Frank) and Joanne Helke (Gail). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
