He is survived by: his wife Samai Thies; his children, Poun Thies (Jolleen), David Thies (Erica Plesser) and Diana Cornelius (Ken); his grandchildren, Taylor, Diana, Ethen, Maleigh, Keyana and KJ; his sister Shirley Willette; and his nieces and nephews, Tadd, Chad and Misti.
