He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Baumgartner and Ruth Baumgartner (Mercier); his wife Betty Koenig; his siblings, Fred and Jane Prucha; and his granddaughter Lorilie Thurston.
He is survived by: his children, Steven (Sharon), Thomas II (Paula), Jerald (Angie) and Susan Thurston (Al); and his grandchildren, Brian Baumgartner, Ian Thurston, Moriah Thurston, Shane Baumgartner, Hannah Baumgartner and Lance Baumgartner.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. James the Less Catholic Church or The American Cancer Society Let's Celebrate Life Together.
