He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shawley and Maxine Shawley; his son Edward; and his siblings, Judy, Jimmy, Larry, Carol and Terri.
He is survived by: his wife Karen (Potter); his daughters, Shannon Paludi (Pablo), Wendy Freitag (Chris), Susan Shawley (Lisa Josvai) and Amy Sanwick (Jeff); his grandchildren, Miranda Bott (Ryan), Brandon Freitag (Carrie), Jory Stall, Eli Shawley, Kasey Miller (Jason), Sydney Engen (Joe), Kinsey Shepherd (Blake), Makayla and Addison Sanwick; his great grandchildren, Athena, Henry, Lillian, Maxwell, Theo, Keenan, Reese, Benson, Walker, Quinn, Otis and Mae; and his siblings, Denny Shawley (Lorna), Virginia Mutschler, Sandy Nerby (Loren) and Vicki Lindemoen. He is also survived by other family members and close friends.
