He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Hess; his children, Cathy Johnson (Kurt) of Fitchburg, WI, Tom Mickelson (Doreen) of La Crosse and Angela DeForrest (Ronnie) of Athens, TN; his stepdaughters, Deb Mosey (Mark) of Colfax, WI and Shelley Sheehan (Jeff) of Caledonia, MN; his brother Robert Mickelson (Marian) of La Crosse; his grandchildren, Lindsey Johnson, Krissy Mickelson, Lorali Sallander (Jon), Rachel Mosey, Ben Mosey and Safiyyah Cummings (Derek); his great grandchildren, Krystal Olson, Salem Sallander, Owen Cummings and Lilian Cummings; his nephew Steve Mickelson (Carol); his niece Joy Kauke; and his pet Skippy.
