He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Schaefer; his children, Richard A. and Ellen Molzahn; his grandchildren, Christina Pollex (Pat) and Kelsey Newman (Derek); his children, Jane and Dennis Kelbel; his grandchildren, Shaenna Koffler (Craig) and April Willger (Chad); his children, Mary and Randy Hericks; his grandchildren, Heather McAlear (Jason), Sara Downing (Mike McKay) and Dylan Hericks; and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Lincoln, Kennedy, Sully, Alex, Luke, Camden, Ava and Alivia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers/sister-in-law.
