He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Schmitt and Lorraine Schmitt of Fountain City, WI.. He is survived by: his wife Sara Mathis (Mathis) of Waukon; his children, Wessley and Avery Schmitt; his siblings, Lisa and Lee Schmitt (Erin); his parents-in-law, Daniel and Kathy Mathis of Waukon, IA; his siblings-in-law, Jennifer Durham (Dwayne) and Eric Mathis of Marion, IA; his nephews, Adam, Carson and Conner; his niece Maggie; and his friends, Scott Wessley (Erin) and Todd English (Amy). He is also survived by many other relatives, neighbors and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
